Lots of presents spawned in the following 5 minutes, picking them up killed us (is that normal? it's my first Wintersday in 4.5 years of GW) then the presents suddenly stopped.

I was in that district and didn't receive a hat. I had a stack of cc as well. LA Euro Eng dis 14 didn't receive a hat either.

Hopefully, they'll simply add the hats to the hat maker like they did with the ice crown/wreath crown when the event messed up 2 years ago. I'd rather they do that than rerun another laggy event.

Fake presents still spawn but the proper presents appear in inventory

Very wierd. EU district #15 in LA there wasnt even an event nevermind a hat.

Did the event mess up? I thought they did that because Korea had some sort of natural disaster or massive blackout and players couldn't connect.

I just checked my other accounts and 2 were in the same dist Inter dist 8
only 1 char got the hat the other didn't and no they don't have any costumes on there accounts.

My wife and me were standing next to each other, but she got a new hat and I did not, ugh.

Theory based on our alliance chat: when wearing a costume headpiece in the new "Costume Headpiece" slot during the wintersday event you won't get a new festival hat. Just a theory though, cannot really proof it, but maybe "crowdsourcing" can proof it

no custome headpiece here in slots on both accounts, no new festival hats received.

My main account had no costume pieces equipped, but my mule account did (grenth hat) neither got Dwayna hats

I was wearing a hat both times. I got a hat for the first event, but not the second. :P
